How does live illustration work?
I will arrive to the venue 45 min to 1 hour before the guests to set up and start capturing content & reference photos. I will start illustrating as soon as I can to make every minute count. The portraits will be placed in a protective sleeve before given to the guests. Portraits are completed in order the photos are taken. I illustrate as your guests enjoy the party and they can come get their custom illustration when it's finished!
How many portraits can you complete at one event?
This depends on the package and how many guests. I do my best to complete as many as I can on site while keeping the quality high. On avergae each portait may take me 8-15 minutes depending on number of people, details of the clothing, guest interactions, etc. I try to limit each portrait to maximum of 2 people at the event. If any are left unfinished, I complete the rest in my studio and mail them to you within 1 month after the event to send out with the thank you cards.
What do we need to provide at our event?
All I will need is a large table, at least 4 feet long, with 1 chair near an outlet to be able to work during your event. All creative materials will be provided.
How many times is each guest illustrated?
Each guest may be illustrated once so I can provide a meaningful, personalized keepsake for the maximum number of guests throughout your event.
When selecting a package, does the guest count represent the number of people who will receive an illustration, or the number of finished illustrations created?
The guest count per package refers to the number of guests who could be illustrated who want one and come up to my table to receive a portrait.
It is never guaranteed exactly how many illustrations will be drawn, it’s easier to count per guest. For example 1 portrait of a couple counts as 2 guests.
Do my guests have to pose and wait for their illustration in line?
Nope! I arrive early to take my reference photos of your guests and start illustrating them while they are enjoying the beautiful event! No need to wait in line.

After confirming I’m available for your date, we can discuss the different package options depending on your guest count & find the right match. To secure your date a non-refundable retainer is required, then a 50% deposit is due upon contract signing. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the event date.
